How long is Phantom Blade Zero?
Evidence checked 2026-10-29: there is no independently verified main-story-only benchmark in our available sources. PowerPyx's October 29 guide estimates 30–40 hours for the platinum trophy, not for simply reaching the credits. AUTOMATON's October 28 reviewer finished after about 40 hours, but did not define that as a main-story-only run. These are different completion goals, not a single measured average or a guaranteed range for every player.
Platinum time is not 100% completion time
PowerPyx estimates 30–40 hours and a minimum of one playthrough, provided missable requirements are met. Its roadmap says trophies can be earned on any difficulty and do not require 100% of collectibles. That makes the estimate useful for trophy planning, but unsuitable as a full-collection benchmark. Keep manual saves and attend to side quests as you go: post-game exploration does not restore failed missable tales.
What do the longer review playthroughs tell us?
IGN's October 26 PC reviewer reached credits after 50 hours while approaching the first playthrough as a completionist run. This describes one exploration-heavy experience; it does not certify every collectible or establish a universal 100% time. AUTOMATON's roughly 40-hour finish is another individual report, not a comparable timed test. For planning, choose your goal first—credits, platinum or exhaustive exploration. Verified story-only and strict 100% completion times are not yet available.
